Goldilocks lived with her parents, in a little house by the woods.

One morning her parents sent her to play in the garden.

We're going inside now. Play out here
for a bit
But don't wander away from the house
I won't go far, I'll just pick some flowers and go back
Goldilocks played in the garden for a while.

Then she saw some pretty flowers at the edge of the woods.
Soon Goldilocks was deep in the forest, picking flowers as she went.
In another little house in the middle of the woods, lived three bears.
That morning they made some porridge for breakfast,
and went on a walk to let it cool.

I can't wait to eat my porridge when I get back!
Hello?
Anybody home?
By this point Goldilocks was starting to get hungry.
When she saw the three bears’ house, she decided to see if anyone was home.
She knocked on the door.
It swung open, so she went inside.
On the table were three bowls of porridge.
Goldilocks was so hungry, she decided to help herself.
The porridge in the big bowl was too salty.
The porridge in the medium bowl was very sweet.
But the porridge in the little bowl was just right, and she ate it all up.
After eating the porridge, Goldilocks was tired. In the living room, there were three chairs.
The big chair was really hard.
The medium chair was much too soft.
But the little chair was just right.
Goldilocks sat down, but it was too small for her, and the legs broke.
Still tired, Goldilocks looked for the bedroom.
In it were three beds.

The big bed was very hard.
The medium bed was really soft.
The little bed was just right,
so Goldilocks lay down in it, and fell asleep.
Just then, the three bears returned from their walk.
They saw that the door of their house was open and they rushed inside.
On the table, their bowls were in a mess.
Baby bear’s porridge had been eaten up.
Somebody's been eating my porridge!
Somebody's been eating my porridge, and they've eaten it all up!
Somebody's been eating my porridge!
In the living room, the cushions were scattered all over the floor, and Baby bear’s chair was broken.
Somebody's been sitting in my chair!
Do you think we can fix it?

In the bedroom, the sheets were in a mess, and there was someone asleep in Baby bear’s bed!
Somebody's been sleeping in my bed, and she's still here!

Goldilocks woke up from her nap and saw three bears frowning down at her.
She screamed.
Then, faster than she’d ever run before, she ran all the way home.
